What YOU can do to support your healing

Self-Care

  • Pray daily.

  • Surrender to the process and trust your intuition.

  • Advocate for yourself: you must stand up for yourself at all times during a diagnosis. Setting boundaries and not letting fear dictate how you live through this time is pinnacle for true healing.

  • Speak love over yourself and your cancer daily.

  • Meditate.

  • Ground yourself.

  • Take an epson salt bath with baking soda: baking soda helps to alkalize the body, putting it in a more optimal environment for healing. Take some time to just allow your body to relax in the bath.

  • Try to find something enjoyable each day: whether it’s reading a fun book, getting outside, baking, etc. Find a piece of normalcy every day.

  • Laugh everyday.

  • Use clean skincare/makeup products: make sure you use nontoxic, clean products on your skin. Our skin is our largest organ, and keeping it free of chemicals will help to decrease more toxicity in the body. I use the app Yuka to check products to see if they are clean. I bought all my products at Verde, a clean beauty store in De Pere, WI.

  • Use a heat pad: I used an infrared heat pad daily on my back that had 132 Jade and 54 Tourmaline stones. These stones help to relieve pain and emit negative ions, all which help the healing process. Link: heating pad

  • Enemas: I did coffee and water enemas. Enemas have been used for centuries, and have many benefits. Stuck feces can increase toxicity and unnecessary build up in your body. Coffee enemas help to detox the liver and gallbladder and aid in maintaining digestive health, which is especially important when going through chemotherapy. I used an enema when my white blood cell counts were normal to decrease risk of infection. Talk to your doctor about the right time to do an enema if you are in chemotherapy. You can buy your own enema kit for home, if you would like to do a coffee enema, make sure you buy coffee specific for a coffee enema.

There are endless possibilities to healing, this is just a list of things to help you get started. These are just some things I did to help me feel more relaxed, empowered, and ready to take on this new journey. If you find something that works for you, please contact me and I would love to add it.
